Rudolfweg 7, 8072 Fernitz-Mellach, Austria
Email: klaus.pichler@kpi-transformation.com
Phone: +43 676 632 88 42
2. Data Protection Officer
Given the size of the company and the nature of the data processing, the appointment of a data protection officer pursuant to Art. 37 GDPR is not legally required. For all questions concerning data protection, you can contact the controller named above directly.
3. Hosting and Server Log Files
This website is hosted by the following service provider:
HOSTINGER, UAB
Švitrigailos str. 34, LT-03230 Vilnius, Lithuania
Company code 302710386
The server is located in Frankfurt am Main, Germany. The chosen web server location is within the European Union. This does not exclude possible international processing by service providers or their subprocessors; the applicable safeguards and provider information remain relevant. A data processing agreement pursuant to Art. 28 GDPR is in place with the provider.
Personal data collected in the course of using this website is processed on the provider's servers. When the website is accessed, the hosting provider automatically collects technical access data (so-called server log files) that your browser transmits automatically. This typically includes:
- IP address (in shortened or anonymised form where technically possible)
- date and time of the request
- page or file accessed and volume of data transferred
- browser type and version, operating system used
- referrer URL (previously visited page)
This data serves exclusively to ensure trouble-free operation of the website, system security and technical administration, and is not merged with other data sources. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in the secure and stable provision of the website). Log file data is deleted automatically after a short period necessary for the stated purpose.
For further information on how the hosting provider handles user data, please see its privacy policy at www.hostinger.com/legal/privacy-policy.
4. Contacting Us
You can contact us via this website in two ways:
4.1 Direct contact by email or phone
If you contact us by email or phone, the data you provide (e.g. name, contact details, content of your enquiry) will be stored by us and processed exclusively for the purpose of handling your enquiry and for follow-up questions. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (enquiry with a view to a possible contract) or Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR (legitimate interest in answering enquiries).
Our email inbox is also hosted by Hostinger. Contact details and message content are processed there for receipt, storage and response. Hostinger acts as a service provider for this communication; the purposes and legal bases correspond to those stated above. Storage follows section 8. Information about Hostinger and its data processing is provided in section 3.
4.2 Contact form
When you submit the contact form, your name, email address, message and optional company, phone and topic details are transmitted securely to our web server and forwarded by email to office@kpi-transformation.com. We use these details to respond to your enquiry and follow-up questions. The legal basis is Article 6(1)(b) GDPR for contract-related enquiries or Article 6(1)(f) GDPR for other enquiries.
The form does not create a database of messages. Your message is processed in our email inbox. To limit abusive requests, the server temporarily stores a hashed IP address with request timestamps. Entries are valid for at most one hour and are removed during the next form request. No cookies are used. This processing serves our legitimate interest in protecting the form against abuse.
Providing personal data is voluntary. Name, email address and message are required to process an enquiry through this form; without them the form cannot be submitted. Phone and company details are optional. You can alternatively contact us by telephone or email. We do not use these enquiries for automated decision-making or profiling.
5. Cookies, Tracking and Third-Party Content
This website does not use cookies, web analytics services (e.g. Google Analytics), marketing or retargeting pixels, embedded map or video services, or externally hosted fonts (e.g. Google Fonts). All graphics, icons and fonts are delivered locally from our own server or through the system fonts pre-installed in your operating system. The website does not load content from Facebook, LinkedIn or Cal.com before you follow the corresponding link. Hosting and contact processing are described separately in this policy. The website itself does not set cookies requiring consent.
6. Social Media Profiles
We maintain our own profiles on Facebook and LinkedIn. This website contains no embedded social media plugins or tracking pixels from these providers – the links in the footer are plain hyperlinks. No data is therefore transmitted to Facebook or LinkedIn when you visit this website. The following information applies only once you click one of these links and access the respective platform.
6.1 Facebook Business Page
We operate a business page at facebook.com/kpitransformation, provided by Meta Platforms Ireland Ltd., Merrion Road, Dublin 4, D04 X2K5, Ireland. The processing described below takes place exclusively on Meta's platform – this website contains no social media plugins, and no data is transmitted to Meta when you visit this website.
When you visit our Facebook page, Meta processes personal data (including IP address, usage data and cookies) under its own responsibility. We have no influence on the nature or extent of this processing. Further information is available in Meta's privacy policy: facebook.com/privacy/policy.
For the so-called Page Insights – anonymised statistics on the use of the page – we are joint controllers together with Meta (Art. 26 GDPR). The corresponding agreement is available at facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum. We receive only aggregated evaluations from these statistics and cannot identify individual visitors from them.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our company and communicating with prospective clients (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages you send us via Facebook are processed in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
You can contact us outside Facebook at any time – by e-mail at office@kpi-transformation.com or by telephone at +43 676 632 88 42. You may assert rights concerning the data processed by Meta both against us and directly against Meta.
6.2 LinkedIn Page and LinkedIn Profile
We operate a company page at linkedin.com/company/kpi-industrial-transformation and a personal profile at linkedin.com/in/klaus-pichler-transformation, provided by LinkedIn Ireland Unlimited Company, Wilton Plaza, Wilton Place, Dublin 2, Ireland. The processing described below takes place exclusively on LinkedIn's platform.
When you visit our LinkedIn page or profile, LinkedIn processes personal data (including IP address, usage data and cookies) under its own responsibility. We have no influence on the nature or extent of this processing. Further information is available in LinkedIn's privacy policy: linkedin.com/legal/privacy-policy.
For the so-called Page Insights – aggregated statistics on the use of our company page – we are joint controllers together with LinkedIn (Art. 26 GDPR). The corresponding agreement is available at legal.linkedin.com/pages-joint-controller-addendum. We receive only aggregated evaluations from these statistics and cannot identify individual visitors from them.
The legal basis is our legitimate interest in presenting our company and communicating with prospective clients (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Messages you send us via LinkedIn are processed in order to handle your enquiry (Art. 6(1)(b) or (f) GDPR).
Where LinkedIn transfers data to the USA, the provider relies on its parent company's certification under the EU-U.S. Data Privacy Framework and, additionally, on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses.
You can contact us outside LinkedIn at any time – by e-mail at office@kpi-transformation.com or by telephone at +43 676 632 88 42. You may assert rights concerning the data processed by LinkedIn both against us and directly against LinkedIn.
7. Disclosure of Data
Depending on the contact method you choose, recipients include our hosting and email service providers and, when you use appointment booking, Cal.com and the connected calendar provider. The relevant purposes and legal bases are described above and in section 13. Other disclosures occur only on an applicable legal basis. Processors are subject to the requirements of Article 28 GDPR.
8. Retention Period
Personal data from contact enquiries is deleted as soon as it is no longer required to achieve the purpose for which it was collected, provided that no statutory retention obligations (e.g. under the Austrian Federal Fiscal Code) prevent deletion.
9. Your Rights as a Data Subject
Under the GDPR you have the following rights:
- right of access (Art. 15 GDPR)
- right to rectification (Art. 16 GDPR)
- right to erasure (Art. 17 GDPR)
- right to restriction of processing (Art. 18 GDPR)
- right to data portability (Art. 20 GDPR)
- right to object to processing (Art. 21 GDPR)
To exercise these rights, an informal message to the contact address given above is sufficient.
10. Right to Lodge a Complaint
You have the right to lodge a complaint with a data protection supervisory authority about the processing of your personal data. In Austria, this is the:
Austrian Data Protection Authority (Österreichische Datenschutzbehörde)
Barichgasse 40–42, 1030 Vienna
Phone: +43 1 52 152-0
Email: dsb@dsb.gv.at
Web: www.dsb.gv.at
11. Data Security
This website is delivered via SSL/TLS encryption (recognisable by the lock symbol in your browser's address bar and the "https://" prefix). This encrypts the transfer of data between your browser and the server and protects it against unauthorised access by third parties.
12. Changes to this Privacy Policy
This privacy policy will be amended as necessary to reflect changes in the legal situation or changes to the website and its data processing. The version published on this page at the time of your visit applies.
13. Online Appointment Booking (Cal.com)
For arranging initial consultations we offer online appointment booking via Cal.com (Cal.com, Inc., San Francisco, USA). On this website the service is integrated solely as a plain link – no data is transferred to Cal.com when you merely visit this website. Only when you click the "Book an initial consultation" button do you leave this website and open the Cal.com booking page.
When you make a booking, Cal.com processes the data you enter (name, email address, selected time slot and optional details) for the purpose of scheduling. We receive these details together with the calendar entry. The legal basis is Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR (pre-contractual steps). As Cal.com is based in the USA, data may be transferred to a third country; the provider relies on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. For details, see the provider's privacy policy at cal.com/privacy.
The booked appointment is transferred to our business calendar, which is hosted by Google Ireland Limited (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). Your name, email address and the appointment time are stored there. Processing in third countries may occur here as well, based on the European Commission's standard contractual clauses. Further information is available at policies.google.com/privacy.
Using the booking tool is optional – you can always reach us by email or phone instead (see section 4).

Copyright and other rights apply where they arise. No blanket claim of exclusive copyright is made for AI-generated content. Details of visual assets are provided in the image credits.
Image credits: The website uses the supplied company branding and portrait, newly created process diagrams and a clearly labelled AI-generated illustration of a fictional manufacturing environment. No stock photographs or client-site photographs are used. Details in the image credits.
